Do I need prior experience?
Generally no. It is, however, an advantage if you already have experience with fish. In the free intro call, we find out together whether you're ready for the next step.
What happens in the intro call?
15 minutes, by phone or video. We go through a checklist together: your starting point, your goal, your location. You get an honest assessment of whether catfish farming makes sense for you. No sales pitch, no pressure. You decide afterwards, at your own pace.
What does getting started cost overall?
The Masterclass costs € 790, € 590 at launch. On top of that comes your system. Its cost depends on size and how much you build yourself. In the intro call, we work this out for your situation.
Is catfish farming economically worthwhile, and who do I sell to?
For your fingerlings there are three paths: you sell them to other farms, you raise them for your own fattening operation, or you supply small aquaponic growers. What's realistic in your region, we clarify in the free call before you invest.
How much time do I need per day?
In ongoing operation, 1 to 2 hours daily. During breeding phases, such as spawning and larval rearing, more at certain points. In the course, you get routines and SOPs that keep you efficient.
How much space do I need?
For a small to medium hatchery with all areas, we recommend around 80 m², for example a hall, an outbuilding, or a large basement with power and water access. Whether your location fits, we clarify in the intro call.
Does catfish farming require a permit?
Yes. Depending on the country, aquaculture requires registration or a permit. In the course, you get an overview of the legal requirements for Austria and Germany, so you know what steps to expect.
